We are seeking a detail-oriented, energetic, and compassionate Diagnostic Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask efficiently while providing outstanding patient care and support for our clinical staff. The Diagnostic Coordinator will play a vital role in guiding and educating patients during the early testing phase of their fertility journey collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff and reporting directly to the Clinical Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • MA, LVN, or RN with active certification/licensure
  • Active ACLS/BLS/CPR Certification
  • Ability to effectively educate patients and communicate with healthcare professionals
  • Compassionate approach to support patients throughout their fertility journey
  • Accurate documentation and adherence to physician orders and protocols
  • Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with various clinical and administrative staff
  • Understanding of fertility processes, lab testing, and medical procedures
  • Proficient with EMR and Microsoft Office
  • Be able to work on procedure weekend on a monthly basis
  • Be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to travel to other locations as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years professional experience in clinical setting
  • Previous fertility coordination experience
  • Phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on diagnostic procedures, testing, results, and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate required lab testing and obtain necessary consent forms.
  • Schedule and track patient diagnostic procedures and testing.
  • Document patient information accurately in charts and create detailed patient flowsheets.
  • Assist in monitoring the clinic, PACU/OR, and procedural areas.
  • Administer injections and manage patient medications.
  • Maintain detailed patient flowsheets and medical records.
  • Collaborate with physician, clinical, embryology, and billing staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Collect, prepare, and handle blood, urine, semen, and tissue samples for testing.
  • Review and maintain accurate medical records, including charting patient progress.
  • Participate in staff training for staff within same job class or lower.
  • Managing inventory as necessary and other duties as assigned
