This role is responsible for collecting high‑quality laboratory specimens, performing waived tests, and completing urine drug screens while following all safety, chain‑of‑custody, and regulatory standards. The position also includes performing routine radiology procedures, operating imaging equipment safely, selecting proper exposure factors, ensuring accurate positioning, and reviewing images for diagnostic quality. The employee maintains supplies, keeps work areas clean, supports QA and QC processes, and uses hospital and laboratory computer systems to enter patient information, order tests, and document radiology data. Additional responsibilities include communicating with physician offices for coding and insurance information, completing patient registration when needed, safeguarding confidentiality, and providing friendly, age‑appropriate patient care. Professional growth, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • ARRT(R) registered
  • KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License - Radiography
  • CPR certified
  • Excellent understanding of radiation protection of patients, peers, and self.
  • Adequate clinical experience from an approved program.
