RAYUS now offers DailyPay! Work today, get paid today! RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a Part-Time position working Monday and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with ability to cover PTO shifts as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
Registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standing
Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.)
Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable)
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Must have sufficient training in BREAST IMAGING and experience to perform sonography procedures independently

Nice To Haves

Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens
Bilingual

Responsibilities

Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged
Performs Breast Sonography within the Mammography department. Aides in diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team members
Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements
Assist with breasts biopsies.
Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
Assist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
