The Cybersecurity Intern will be responsible for managing and supporting our cyber security resource office (CSRO). This office primarily performs work to support plant maintenance by managing the checking-in and out, malware scanning, cyber hardening, and troubleshooting of portable media and mobile devices. The CSRO is also responsible for performing vulnerability scans of digital assets, auditing of digital asset configuration, and performing cyber-related periodic activities such as updating malware signature and definition files. The CSRO regularly interfaces and collaborates with multiple departments including Instrumentation & Controls technicians, Engineering, Security, Operations, Work Planning, and Scheduling. The position may also work in Special Projects related to the DCPP cyber security program or Cal Poly Critical Infrastructure Cyber Lab.
