About The Position

Educate patients, healthcare workers and the community about controlling diabetes through nutritional management. Coordinate with designated staff to effectively integrate medical nutrition therapy into the overall management of diabetes. Provide diabetes education for patients, healthcare workers and the community. Encourage the diabetes team to support and reinforce nutrition prescriptions and to help patients manage their meal plans. Supervise the planned education process for the goals of medical nutrition therapy for diabetes. Reinforce diabetes education and instruction to the staff and implement and monitor educational plan of care. Coordinate with healthcare providers including receiving and writing orders to ensure effective and efficient patient care and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Florida Council of Dietetics and Nutrition obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida credential required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
