About The Position

The Section 508 Trusted Tester is responsible for ensuring all digital training materials, platforms, and course content meet DHS accessibility standards and compliance requirements. THIS ROLE IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
DHS Trusted Tester Certification
Minimum 2 years of instructional design or accessibility testing experience

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting DHS 508 compliance programs
Familiarity with accessibility tools (JAWS, NVDA, ANDI, Axe, etc.)

Responsibilities

Conduct Section 508 testing of web-based content, software, and course materials
Document accessibility defects and provide detailed remediation recommendations
Develop Section 508 remediation plans with timelines and corrective strategies
Support bi-weekly 508 discussions and webinars for training partners
Provide consultation throughout the development lifecycle using virtual collaboration tools
Apply DHS Trusted Tester methodology and reporting standards
