About The Position

DHHS Division of Pubic Health is seeking two program coordinators to help implement and manage rural workforce incentive processes for the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program as part of the Rural Health Transformation Project grant. The Program Coordinators will- Implement and manage rural workforce incentive processes, tracks awards, participants, and service commitments for the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program. Serve as points of contact for technical assistance to interested parties throughout the state, and marketing of the incentive program to protentional health care providers. Be responsible for the contracting process (application, contract administration, initiating the payment of funds, employment verification) between providers and the program. Participate in grant management and reporting as required. Act as a liaison between the public and the program via email, phone, virtual and in-person meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field OR experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community based health/social care groups.
  • Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for year basis.
  • Experience may be substituted for education on a year for your basis.
  • Experience coordinating federal grant activities.
  • Experience with contracts or fiscal activities
  • Customer service skills – ability to communicate with new people via phone, email, virtual or in-person meetings.
  • Attention to detail and able to work independently with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Microsoft Office – particularly Excel, Word, Office. Also, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Writing skills for reports and email.

  • Experience grant writing, contract management, or leading or leading community-based health/social care groups.
