Peraton is seeking a Junior Web Developer. A Junior Web De ve l op er I writ es and maintain s web site code using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; collaborating with designers and stakeholders to create user-friendly interfaces; testing and debugging to ensure functionality; and performing tasks like content updates and site backups. The role focuses on technical execution, often within an agile team, to bring project requirements to life and ensure the web site is stable and performs well. Position is contingent upon contract award.

  • Write, test, and debug code using languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build and maintain web sites and web applications.
  • Work with designers, project managers, and other team members to discuss needs, plan projects, and integrate visual elements.
  • Perform regular testing and validation to identify and fix bugs, ensuring code quality and a smooth user experience.
  • Update web site content, perform backups, and make small edits to ensure the site remains operational and up-to-date .
  • Analyze user needs and technical requirements to develop and suggest solutions for improving existing web sites.
  • Create prototypes and mockups, design user interfaces, and ensure the site is responsive and compatible across different devices and browsers.
  • 2 years of experience with BS/BA, 0 years of experience with MS/MA
  • Public Trust Clearance/ or ability to obtain one
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Current active IAT II certification (Security+) with related software development Computing Environment (CE) certification(s) to comply with DoD 8570 and DoD 8140.03 requirements (preferred)
  • Proficiency in web de ve l op ment languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with web de ve l op ment concepts, such as responsive design and caching.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • BA/BS degree in an IT or math related field plus 4+ years progressive experience in related Web Development roles preferred
  • Familiarity working in an Agile development environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, JIRA, or Confluence (preferred)
  • Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus
