About The Position

The position involves ensuring the safe and legal handling of dangerous goods, which includes proper separation, palletizing, and loading onto aircraft or trucks. The role also requires ensuring that all related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and distributed timely to all necessary parties. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Current DG certification preferred.
• Six (6) months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred.
• Experience with computers, i.e., mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training for dangerous goods.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.

Nice To Haves

• Related knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred.
