About The Position
The DFPC Multi-Mission Aircraft (MMA) Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Multi-Mission Aircraft Unit, which plays a crucial role in wildfire detection, mapping, monitoring, and reconnaissance. This position involves analyzing and synthesizing data gathered from the aircraft and integrating it into Colorado's Wildfire Information Management System (CO-WIMS) to support decision-making for wildfire management across the state. The MMA Manager also provides aerial supervision and assistance to Incident Commanders, ensuring mission readiness and effective communication during wildfire incidents.
