About The Position

The Engineer II Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides technical expertise supporting DevSecOps activities on software-centric Agile programs within a complex, distributed Multi-Domain Operations Environment (MDOE). This role supports the development, integration, and sustainment of Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) capabilities across a federated system-of-systems architecture to accelerate experimentation, training, and testing for the Joint Force. The Engineer II SME contributes to rapid capability delivery by implementing Agile and DevSecOps practices that ensure secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions in support of warfighter dominance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting DevSecOps activities on software-centric Agile programs or projects
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting secure software development within DoD or similar regulated environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support DevSecOps engineering activities for software-intensive systems, ensuring security, quality, and performance are embedded throughout the development lifecycle
  • Implement and support Agile processes to deliver capabilities rapidly in response to evolving mission needs
  • Assist in the integration of Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) components across a distributed MDOE ecosystem
  • Support CT2 Federated Systems of Systems, including: XLCC Exercise Control (EXCON) and Common Operating Picture (COP) TBCF Live Threat command, control, and communications (C3) integration into XLCC Integration of virtual and constructive BLUFOR and Threat systems into the COP
  • Collaborate with Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and support Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) Test & Evaluation (T&E) efforts aligned with approved capability development documents (A-CDD)
  • Support the creation of immersive environments for experimentation, training, and testing across distributed and expeditionary architectures
  • Assist with MDOE integration across the Armed Services Training Community, leveraging training tools, ranges, and resources coordinated through TRMC
  • Ensure solutions are interoperable across joint and service-specific systems while adhering to security and architectural standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation, system artifacts, and collaboration with government and mission partners
