About The Position

As a DevSecOps Engineer , you are responsible for actively developing and implementing end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles, ensuring processes are both secure and efficient. Collaborate with clients, designing and implementing Kubernetes or Docker solutions. Take part in building CI/CD pipelines, ensuring a smooth software update process. Furthermore, actively participate in the application of GitOps principles for software delivery. Additionally, ensure that development and software continuous delivery and integrations uses security best practices throughout the process . E nsure capabilities deployed meet security requirements and test. Work with cloud deployment activities to ensure configurations meet STIG or DOD security standards.

Requirements

  • Masters level Degree + 10 years of relevant hands-on experience with DevSecOps principles OR Bachelors Degree + 18 years of relevant hands-on experience with DevSecOps principles
  • Develop and implement end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles
  • Experience with AWS and cloud technologies
  • Good grasp of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Networking experience
  • Experience or knowledge of Service-Mesh, such as Istio
  • Good knowledge of version control systems like Gitlab
  • Experience in software systems development using CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with Java, Node.js, Terraform Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python
  • Passionate about automation, system efficiency, and security
  • Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools
  • Proficient in tools like AWS Cloud Services, Gitlab, Ansible, Maven, Gradle
  • Experience with Unit/Integration Testing
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
  • Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment with Raft
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with writing custom Helm Charts
  • Basic experience with Big Data
  • Multilingual programming abilities
  • Knowledge in automation languages like Python or GoLang
