This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level. Vantor seeks a cleared DevSecOps Engineer to play a key role within a dynamic full technology stack engineering team. This team supports a large-scale Government Geospatial Information software system through both operational sustainment and new feature development. We are building and advancing a cloud-based collaborative geospatial mapping platform using commercial technologies to meet critical user needs. This senior position requires an engineer capable of designing solutions, tackling complex technical challenges, and contributing significantly across the technology stack.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Security+ Certification or ability to acquire
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field plus 5 years of relevant experience; Or master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD automation pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
  • Be willing and able to work onsite in Herndon VA, with a portion of the time worked inside a SCIF

Nice To Haves

  • Experience architecting highly available, scalable systems in AWS.
  • Background in database administration, particularly PostgreSQL/PostGIS performance tuning.
  • Experience as a key contributor to development efforts or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Practical knowledge of PKI, SSL/TLS certificate management, and related security tooling (Keytool, OpenSSL).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams and drive technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and implementation of DevSecOps processes and engineering practices across the geospatial software stack.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD automation pipelines to accelerate secure software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning infrastructure, networking, automation pipelines, and applications.
  • Manage and optimize mapping enclaves and platform deployments supporting multiple mission customers.
  • Contribute to defining the technical roadmap for future platform capabilities and integrations.
  • Advocate for and strengthen Agile engineering practices, enabling the team to rapidly deliver new capabilities.
