About The Position

BryceTech is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, develop, and support integration solutions for mission-critical systems operating in distributed, time-sensitive environments. This role supports the design, deployment, security, and operation of containerized microservices, secure system integration and operational support during live and simulated events. Focus will be on integration engineering, API integration and traffic management, and operational readiness within existing platform environments.

Requirements

  • Active DoW Secret clearance
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, integration engineering, DevOps, or DevSecOps
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (operations, deployment, troubleshooting)
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, or similar high throughput publish/subscribe messaging system
  • Strong understanding of event-driven system architectures
  • Experience integrating systems through APIs and messaging frameworks
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration and data-flow issues in operational environments
  • Role will require on-site or after-hours support during scheduled exercises or mission events

Nice To Haves

  • Experience packaging and deploying applications using Docker or equivalent container technologies
  • Familiarity with Helm charts within containerized environments
  • Experience with Git-based version control and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Kraken or similar data processing / integration frameworks
  • Prior support to DoD simulations, wargames, or operational test events

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom connectors to enable reliable data ingestion, transformation, and distribution
  • Implement and support event-driven and message bus architectures using distributed event streaming platforms
  • Integrate systems using API gateways, RESTful interfaces, and message-based communication patterns, structured data formats including JSON and XML
  • Support deployments and updates across development, test, and production environments
  • Collaborate with software, platform, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant system integration
  • Support live or simulated exercises (e.g., JLVC) by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting, particularly during time-sensitive operational events and exercises
  • Produce technical documentation, integration diagrams, and after-action reports as required
