At OptionMetrics, we're on the lookout for a dynamic DevOps Systems Engineer to oversee, troubleshoot, and optimize our business-critical nightly workflows, running from 4 PM EST – 12 AM EST. You will be at the forefront of our most important and cutting-edge projects. What You'll Do: As a DevOps Systems Engineer , you'll be the backbone of our day-to-day operations. You'll take the helm in solving challenges in our DevOps environment, cloud infrastructure, and network while harnessing the latest cloud provisioning tools. Automation will be your middle name as you streamline tasks using a scheduler, boosting efficiency like never before. You and your team will be responsible for performing and overseeing deployments to production and non-production environments, troubleshooting issues, automating daily operation tasks, and monitoring our business solutions and internal tools.

Requirements

  • 3 – 6 years of Linux experience
  • Hands-on experience in an AWS environment
  • SRE or Platform Engineering experience required
  • knowledgeable in cloud security and networking principles
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot pipeline issues
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certification
  • Experience providing consolidated metrics and logs for a stakeholder audience
  • Experience with Teamcity or GitHub Actions
  • Ability to troubleshoot file transfer using ftp, ftps, sftp, ssh, and http/https
  • Familiarity with automation
