About The Position

Are you excited about new technologies, solving complex problems, and making a measurable impact? Our client is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-tenant Kubernetes-based High Performance Computing as a Service (HPCaaS) platform in a dynamic Linux computing environment. You’ll be responsible for handling everything from installation and configuration to monitoring and maintenance — all while enjoying a collaborative team that values curiosity, innovation, and a good sense of humor. In this role, you'll be the behind-the-scenes powerhouse ensuring the health and performance of a mission-critical containerized environment. From scripting automation to resolving tech hiccups (and maybe even whispering sweet nothings to a misbehaving cluster), your work will directly impact national security initiatives. You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge systems involving: Processing-intensive analytics Novel algorithm development Massive data manipulation Real-time systems and business management platforms Systems integrating data repositories, transport services, application and systems monitoring

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Linux CLI
  • Scripting with Bash and Python
  • Development experience using Java in Linux environments
  • Experience working with SQL databases like PostgreSQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB
  • Proficiency with Docker , containerd , or similar containerization tools
  • Experience with Helm Charts and Kubernetes Operators
  • Familiarity with Git or other source control systems
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • A solid sense of humor and collaborative team spirit
