Learn more at www.clearedgeit.com/careers/ Your Mission ClearEdge is hiring a Software Engineer III to support DevOps-focused integration, automation, and sustainment of large-scale data processing and infrastructure systems in a Linux-based environment. The role is focused entirely on DevOps responsibilities including automation, CI/CD, containerization, system integration, and infrastructure sustainment. You will support deployment pipelines, system reliability, and performance for complex mission systems, working closely with engineers and stakeholders to maintain scalable, automated, and highly available environments. You Will Excel in This Role If You: Have a strong interest in DevOps and infrastructure-focused engineering work Are comfortable working primarily in Linux environments Enjoy automation, CI/CD pipelines, and system integration over application feature development Are experienced with scripting and operational tooling Value stability, scalability, and operational efficiency Take ownership of system reliability and deployment workflows A Day in the Life: Supporting DevOps operations for large-scale data processing and ETL systems Writing and maintaining Shell, Bash, and Python scripts for automation Supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI Deploying, integrating, and sustaining services in Linux environments Installing, configuring, and maintaining COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software Supporting containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes Maintaining infrastructure automation using Ansible Monitoring system health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to improve deployment and sustainment processes

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph within the last seven (7) years
  • Master’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of SWE experience, or Bachelor’s degree a related field and seven (7) years of SWE experience, or Nine (9) years of SWE experience
  • Strong interest in and focus on DevOps responsibilities
  • Experience working in Linux environments using the command line
  • Experience writing scripts using Shell, Bash, and Python
  • Linux system administration experience including software integration, configuration management, and sustainment operations
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as GitLab CI
  • Experience using Git for source code management
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible

Nice To Haves

  • Experience deploying containerized services using Kubernetes
  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience with stream or batch data processing frameworks such as Spark
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
