Remove barriers to innovation and effectiveness, enabling software engineers easy access to the tools they need to make the most mission impact. Detail oriented and team driven software engineers will provide full lifecycle support, to include modernization, of repositories and tools that are used across a variety of networks. We are seeking a highly motivated software engineer that has a heavy DevSecOps background and is well-versed in products that are available within the open-source community. This is a prime contract opportunity. You will excel in this role if you are: A software engineer who thinks tactically and strategically to successfully design, develop, and deploy automated solutions using a variety of tools across multiple platforms A subject matter expert that can naturally and effectively manage interactions with software engineers Versatile and able to meet quickly changing technology needs Self-motivated to improve product efficiency Exceptional at analyzing complex workflows and solving hard problems Familiar with Agile principles and DevOps workflows Ready to join a vibrant team that continuously answers new challenges A day in the life consists of: Architecting, developing, and maintaining secure software and repository solutions Working directly with customers, managers and technical staff to understand business needs, develop technical plans, and deliver solutions that solve mission problems Applying your expertise to code, plan, test, and deploy software and repository solutions across network domains Connecting various elements of coding along with libraries and applications for software releases with various operating systems and production infrastructures Coordinating across multi-functional teams to formulate, prototype, implement, and fine tune solutions Providing multiple tier levels of support to customers, software development teams, and network engineers Establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with Government customers, technical staff, and peers Sharing software engineering best practices and principles

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline. Four years of relevant experience will substitute for a degree.
  • Demonstrated success troubleshooting and solving complex problems
  • Experience developing and maintaining software solutions using a variety of languages
  • Ability to perform scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) on Linux platform
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • User documentation and support experience
  • Software product testing experience
  • Understanding of binary software repositories such as Nexus, Artifactory
  • Experience working with, deploying, and managing Linux-based OS systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with provisioning, virtualization and containerization orchestration, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) tools
  • Proactive technical customer service experience
  • Experience optimizing solutions across network domains
  • Experience with AWS
  • Strong monitoring/metrics skills
  • Understanding of software and infrastructure engineering best practices
  • Contributions back into open-source community
  • Understanding of open-source libraries and tools
  • Container (Docker) and Container Orchestration understanding
