Job Summary: B&A is looking for a Cloud Engineering Specialist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, security, and performance across environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
Ability to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
Strong experience with Linux systems.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Expertise in OpenShift platform.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash) and Python.
Advanced knowledge of GitLab for version control and collaboration.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to respond to monitoring tools, identify issues, and resolve problems.
Active Secret clearance, eligibility to apply for TS/SCI

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
Develop and maintain Docker images for microservices.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
Implement and manage AWS cloud services and OpenShift environments.
Write and maintain scripts in Python and other scripting languages for automation.
Monitor system performance and respond to alerts from monitoring tools.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across cloud and containerized environments.
Ensure compliance with security standards and remediate vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference.
