Job summary We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will play a role in updating the state of our infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence. This role requires a understanding of systems, networking, monitoring, and security, with a strong bias toward automation, reliability and scale. What you will do Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions. Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyzes for review by experienced team professionals. Technical knowledge using: Ansible, Python, Packer, AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, etc), Linux. Open minded, flexible, willingness and ability to learn new technologies as required. Utilize best practices in release management, incident management, capacity planning, and operational readiness. Proactively identify opportunities to increase system resiliency. Participate in on-call rotation, demonstrating strong customer empathy and responsiveness to incidents. Own and improve standard operating procedures and system documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux systems administration background with a deep understanding of how Linux interacts with hardware (CPU, memory, disk, networking).
  • Experience in scripting and automation using Ansible, Bash, Python, Packer, and Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience with datacenter operations including racking, stacking, and remote system management.
  • Experience with managing and configuration of systems at scale with zero-touch provisioning approaches.
  • Experience managing monitoring systems and developing custom dashboards for observability.
  • Experience with networking within a linux environment (Router -> Switch -> Server -> Virtualization -> Linux -> Service) ; BGP and DNS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Ability to self-manage, communicate effectively, and collaborate with diverse technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
