Role Overview As a DevOps Engineer at Gravitate, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating the cloud infrastructure that powers our AI-driven fuel platform. You’ll work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and automated from code to production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, automation, and enabling engineering teams to move faster without sacrificing stability or security.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering role
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code and automation
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and cloud security fundamentals
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting data-intensive or AI/ML-driven platforms
  • Familiarity with streaming, analytics, or big data pipelines
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic)
  • Knowledge of security best practices in SaaS environments
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure to support AI, data, and SaaS workloads
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployment of applications and services
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
  • Support containerized and microservices-based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using modern observability tools
  • Implement and enforce best practices for security, access control, secrets management, and compliance
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, driving root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools and processes to improve developer productivity and platform resilience
