About The Position

The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user’s authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. The GxNext contract was awarded to Leidos in 2021 and runs until 2031. GEOAxIS is seeking DevOps engineers to create a new, modern DevOps focused ICAM system based on containerized technologies. We are seeking experienced or interested engineers looking to containerize, automate and deploy existing services and moderns COTS products to improve reliability and reduce operational overhead of existing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in STEM technologies or an Associates degree at least 2 years experience or no degree and 4 years experience.
  • 1 year experience with Kubernetes or Openshift
  • 1 year experience with Ansible
  • 1 year experience with scripting and programming languages such as bash, python, or java
  • Ability to achieve Security+ within 60 days or hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing configuration management tools in a multi-operational environment
  • Experience with GitOps technologies (ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc)
  • Experience with Git for version management
  • Experience with Gitlab or Jenkins CICD pipeline creation
  • Experience with X509 certificate authentication, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, or LDAP
  • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or Linux

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain docker images of existing java and python microservices
  • Develop and maintain helm charts to deploy custom microservice images
  • Configure and extend upstream helm charts and docker images of COTS products
  • Ensure repeatable infrastructure and software tasks are as automated as possible
  • Work with existing software development and operational teams to increase reliability and deployment velocity across all security domains
