The Workstream DevOps Engineer operates as an embedded member of a specific development team while remaining closely aligned with the broader DevOps organization. This role focuses on enabling reliable, automated delivery of the team’s applications through infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence. You will serve as the bridge between development and platform, ensuring that team deliverables meet production-grade standards for security, scalability, and supportability.

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting the team’s application delivery lifecycle.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Act as the DevOps point of contact for your assigned development team — coordinating deployments, environment management, and operational readiness.
  • Define and enforce automated quality, security, and release gates to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Partner with developers to establish code quality and performance metrics, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Collaborate with platform and architecture teams to adopt and develop DevOps best practices across all workstreams.
  • Manage and support the team’s build, release, and source control systems (GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot, monitor, and improve system reliability, scalability, and incident response within production and non-production environments.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and help implement preventive improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives led by the central DevOps organization.
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, clear communication, and alignment with company values and policies at all times.
  • Networking: DNS, SSL/TLS, Load Balancing, IPv4 subnetting, Firewalls
  • Voice over IP (VoIP): SIP, SBCs, QoS, signaling protocols, security
  • CI/CD Tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
  • Experience supporting microservices and containerized workloads (EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
  • Programming/Scripting (Python, Golang, .NET)
  • Kafka/MSK
  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking Administration (DNS, SSL/TLS, Load Balancing, IPv4 Sub netting, Firewalling, etc.)
  • Voice Over IP administration (Signaling, Encoding/Decoding; Protocols like Media Gateway, RTC, SIP; Security, Border Controllers; QoS, LCR)
  • Database Administration (Structured and/or unstructured, Indexing, Performance Tuning, Backup and restore, data lifecycle management, scaling)
