Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. The Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Level 2 OR 3) to augment our team. The DevOps engineers must have an excellent understanding of common system architecture, provisioning, and administration, but also have experience with the traditional developer toolset and practices such as using source control, giving and receiving code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles. Successful candidates will support daily tasks by managing the CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring system health, handling infrastructure as code. This position will be based in Aurora, CO. About our organization: You'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. DevOps Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest. We have plenty of opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.
