As a DevOps Engineer at Parsons, you will play a critical role in automating and streamlining our software development and deployment processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous delivery of high-quality software products to operational endpoints.

  • Design, develop, and maintain DevOps framework environments to support the automation and deployment of operational capabilities.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for both customers and team members detailing the DevOps processes.
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to project team members and customers.
  • Active Top Secret with Poly security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, including DevOps responsibilities.
  • Proven experience with distributed architectures, including both Linux (RHEL, Rocky/Centos, Ubuntu, etc.) and Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency with build automation technologies (Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Ivy, etc.).
  • Expertise in automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
  • Experience with certificate management (Certificate Authority, Mutual Authentication, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of systems utilizing RESTful Interfaces (REST APIs).
  • Proficiency in Linux scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with artifact binary repository management (Nexus, Maven, Artifactory, etc.).
  • Proficiency with source code repository tools and services (GIT, SVN, Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile development practices.
  • Experience providing solutions and managing dependencies for closed networks.
  • Software programming experience with C, C++, Python, Java.
  • Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite (Confluence, Jira).
