Special Requirements US Citizenship Required to obtain DHS Public Trust Active DHS Clearance (preferred) The Gist… The DevSecOps Engineer maintains secure, automated delivery pipelines, ensuring that applications and infrastructure are deployed efficiently and safely. This role integrates security scanning, compliance checks, and monitoring into CI/CD processes, supports environment provisioning, and optimizes cloud resources. The DevSecOps Engineer ensures high availability, reliability, and security across development and operational environments. What Your Day Might Include…

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, or automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS environment provisioning and services.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across development, security, and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement secure, automated, and resilient software delivery pipelines.
  • US Citizenship Required to obtain DHS Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery.
  • Integrate security scanning, compliance validation, and monitoring tools into automated delivery processes.
  • Provision and manage development, testing, and production environments in cloud or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery procedures to maintain system availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development, platform, and operations teams to ensure secure and compliant deployments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of pipeline or environment issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Document processes, standards, and procedures for secure, automated deployments.
  • Stay current with DevSecOps best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers on security, automation, and operational practices.
