About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Alchemy team. This role is an exciting opportunity to help design, automate, and optimize a multi-tenant AWS cloud infrastructure while supporting mission-critical SaaS applications used across the food manufacturing industry. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable AWS environments. You’ll partner with product owners, developers, and operations teams to automate workflows, improve CI/CD pipelines, strengthen monitoring and security practices, and support the overall software development lifecycle. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of technology experience with at least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or SRE in a public cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Control Tower, etc.).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (YAML, JSON, Python).
• Working knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
• Understanding of PHP, MySQL, and Snowflake.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.

Nice To Haves

• AWS certifications such as Certified DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, or Advanced Networking.
• Experience migrating SaaS applications from on-premises to cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) for production and development environments.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines that enable seamless, low-downtime deployments.
• Automating infrastructure builds using CloudFormation, CDK, and scripting in YAML, JSON, or Python.
• Enhancing system monitoring to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.
• Supporting developers with infrastructure needs across staging, development, and sandbox environments.
• Performing backup and recovery operations, while resolving complex AWS-related technical issues.
• Collaborating with management, product owners, and engineering teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Documenting solutions and procedures to support knowledge-sharing across the team.
