Who we are looking for: As a Sr DevOps Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for bridging development and operations through collaboration, infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and systems maintenance. This role requires excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders, understand their needs, and convey progress. The ideal candidate will excel at designing and implementing best-practice IaC solutions; automating the deployment, scaling, and management of application infrastructure; and maintaining systems to meet company needs. Additionally, you will lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts to ensure quick issue resolution and prevention. Beyond these core responsibilities, you will be expected to integrate DevOps best practices into our infrastructure lifecycle, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. You will also be responsible for comprehensive documentation of technical procedures, configurations, and deployed solution architectures. This role reports directly to the DevOps Engineering Manager.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud-based provisioning, CI/CD pipeline management, monitoring, and troubleshooting in AWS
3+ years experience using modern containerization software, including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS required)
Experience with various coding and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Node.js.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code automation, such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Strong knowledge of observability platforms (Cloudwatch, New Relic, Elastic)
Experience building auditable infrastructure to meet SOC 2 and other compliance requirements
Experience building developer experience & platforms to enable engineering teams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience interpreting and acting on data.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences concisely.
Experience with data and reporting processes to support DevSecOps KPIs and metrics.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and a highly creative problem solver

Nice To Haves

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.
Experience with serverless architecture
Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, and AWS Cloud Security.
Experience with AWS cloud services at scale (AWS Organization, cross-account networking, permission management with SSO and IAM)
Project Management experience

Responsibilities

Implement a DevOps culture, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams
Design monitoring solutions around cloud infrastructure management
Have a passion for working with Engineering teams to ship products and maintain high SLAs for mission-critical SaaS applications
Optimizing system reliability, scalability, and performance through DevOps methodologies
Scaling platforms on AWS with a thorough understanding of reference architectures, showcasing your ability to design and implement cloud solutions that align with industry best practices
Ability to work across multiple tech stacks deployed in AWS, including but not limited to EKS, Terraform, React, Node.js, Typescript, PHP, RDS, SNS, SQS
