DevOps Engineer - SAP BRIM
About The Position
BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an SAP BRIM -DevOps Engineer to work in the Middletown, PA area. This is a full time position with at least 2 days on-site and possibly 3 days remote. As an SAP BRIM -DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud infrastructure supporting SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) and SAP S/4HANA systems. This role ensures efficient deployments, system reliability, and compliance with security standards. The engineer collaborates with architects, developers, and operations teams to deliver scalable, automated solutions aligned with SAP best practices and Commonwealth IT protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years in DevOps engineering for enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP environments, including BRIM and S/4HANA.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of SAP transport management and integration with DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

Nice To Haves
- SAP BRIM certifications (BR235/240/245/416).
- Experience with SAP BTP and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile/Hybrid methodologies and tools like ADO/JIRA.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for SAP-related workloads.
Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain automated pipelines for SAP BRIM deployments using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools.
- Integrate automated testing and quality gates into deployment workflows.
- Ensure version control and artifact management for SAP transports and custom code.
- Infrastructure Automation & Cloud Management
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for SAP environments using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Manage SAP BTP and cloud resources for scalability and high availability.
- Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency across environments.
- Monitoring & Incident Response
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for SAP BRIM systems and integrations.
- Implement observability practices for proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure DevOps processes comply with PCI DSS, SOC1/SOC2, and Commonwealth IT security standards.
- Apply secure coding practices and manage secrets using approved tools.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Document CI/CD workflows, infrastructure configurations, and operational runbooks using Commission templates.
- Work closely with developers, DBAs, and business analysts to align automation with functional requirements.
