Under general supervision, the Device Specialist organizes the provision of care for patients with pacemaker/ICD devices through the process of planning, evaluation and coordination of care Entity MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC001875 MCP - Columbia Heart Columbia DT Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-26 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description This role performs pacemaker analysis and programs pacemakers to correct values/optimal settings within clinics, by phone, or various areas of the hospital. This position performs pacemaker/ICD programming, monitoring and other related procedures: provides interpretations, analyses and test/summary reports as required. Monitors pacemaker/ICD functions: reports on abnormalities and responds to queries including troubleshooting. Monitors patients being followed remotely through home monitoring, evaluates monthly/quarterly device checks and prepares reports for review of physicians and EP providers. The Device Specialist communicates effectively with health care team to achieve desired results for cardiovascular patients.
