About The Position

The Production Molding Operator – DMT l reports directly to an assigned Line Shift Supervisor and is responsible for material handling, conducting light product inspection and housekeeping activities for an assigned set of injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with quality molded components, seeking assistance from technicians for any issues. This is a 12 hour rotating shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) scheduled to work 7 days in a 14 day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off). Every other weekend is scheduled off.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6-12 months previous professional work experience (in a related or unrelated field) required, manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic).

Responsibilities

  • Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.
  • Perform limited product visual and manual inspections.
  • Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all products produced in the department, as well as all product quality specifications.
  • Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and align with good manufacturing practices requirements.
  • Work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
  • Understand and interpret controlled documents including work instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
  • Notify CILL and DMT II’s of any equipment issues.
  • Work with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
  • Align with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
