Developmental Support Specialist

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with Autism
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Services are provided in home-based or community settings
- All positions start part-time
- Encouraged to complete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
- Minimum 6-month commitment required
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one behavioral support services using evidence-based strategies
- Implement individualized support and skill-building plans under clinical supervision
- Encourage independence, positive behavior, and meaningful progress
- Accurately record session data using electronic systems
- Maintain a supportive, respectful, and structured environment
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care teams to support treatment goals
