About The Position

The Developmental Group Leader for the Body department on the 2nd shift is responsible for demonstrating a positive role model for all Associates to promote each Team Member’s success. This role requires maintaining familiarity with all job duties and skill levels of all Team Members and monitoring events that may affect Team performance. The Group Leader is responsible for the assessment and development of each Team Member’s performance, understanding, teaching, and promoting the SIA Production System to all Team leaders and Team Members. Additionally, the Group Leader ensures compliance with all Company Policies and procedures and takes appropriate corrective actions when necessary. The position involves aligning leadership styles to that of SIA’s Principles and values, planning, monitoring, and leading activities according to Plant and Section goals related to Safety, Quality, and productivity, and performing other duties as assigned by the Group Leader’s Manager(s).

Requirements

  • Certificate/Associate Degree in Organizational Leadership or related field or willingness to enter a contract to obtain a certificate in OL (Minimum 25+ Credits) within two (2) years of start date, assigned by SIA.
  • 4+ years Supervisory/Leadership experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must be willing to give and take direction.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and hold self and others accountable.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which require initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to treat others with Dignity and Respect.
  • Ability to give presentation to officers of the company.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen/Continuous improvement activities.

Nice To Haves

  • BS Degree in Organizational Leadership or related field.
  • Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Environment.
