About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Residential Services A Great Opportunity / Full-time/ At ViaQuest Healthcare Central we provide quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in our intermediate care facilities (ICF). Responsibilities may include: Administration of prescribed medications to individuals, monitoring of response and initiate MD notification as needed. Administration of treatments, i.e., topical, ear, eye, enemas, tube feedings, first aid care and monitors individuals' response for effectiveness. Assess and monitor individuals to determine health status, including vital signs. Follow through on any health-related concern relayed by other employees/team members in a timely manner. Ensure that any unattended medication/treatment supplies/carts are locked and secured. Utilizes nursing judgment by accurately assessing the individuals’ condition and initiating necessary care/treatment. Document administration of medications, signs and initials MAR/TAR, narcotic count records, etc. Oversee proper administration of any medications and/or treatments given by employees, as applicable (delegated nursing). Complete needed entries in nursing notes by the end of the shift.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program and currently licensed as LPN.
  • Experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Displays strong communication skills and possess excellent decision-making and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or management experience may be preferred.
