About The Position

The Development Project Manager (DPM) is responsible for managing the development staff in Agile practices, ensuring compliance with CMMI Level 3 and creating, reviewing and enhancing processes to gain efficiencies on the contract. The DPM leads the engineering team to provide technical proposals, Basis of Estimates, risks and project schedules to complete new development projects based on the teams velocity and capacity. They ensure security is embedded into all phases of the system development life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps process to ensure NIST 800-53 moderate system compliance. The DPM drives the agile team to find efficiencies and to constantly improve the product and process, implementing the strategy to align proposed solutions and achieve the program’s objectives by conducting a needs assessment.

Requirements

  • Five years’ experience with CMMI-Dev authorization
  • Fifteen years’ experience managing development teams with at least 10 years managing teams of similar scope and complexity
  • Five years’ experience managing agile teams and processes
  • Knowledgeable in creating and optimizing project plans, processes, and documentation
  • Experienced in facilitating Scrum ceremonies to include Daily Scrums, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective
