As a Development Program Associate within PNC's Financials & Diversified organization, you will be based across the PNC footprint. The goal of PNC’s Development Program is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC’s lines of business. Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) offers strategic insight and financial solutions for businesses, organizations, municipalities, and nonprofits throughout the United States and internationally. The Corporate Banking – Financials and Diversified track provides a broad exposure to business units within C&IB, structured development on-the-job and formal classroom learning including an intensive 8-week credit training program designed to establish PNC’s core competencies. Analysts/Associates possess strong problem-solving ability, interest in mastering complex products, a strong work ethic and a highly competitive nature. The Corporate Banking – Financials and Diversified track includes segments in the following lines of business: Financial Institutions Group – serves and advises clients with industry expertise in Insurance and Diversified Financial Institutions (i.e. Asset Managers) Leasing and Transportation Finance Fintech Diversified Industries Group – Serves and advises clients with industry expertise in Energy, Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy, and Metals & Mining The Corporate Banking – Financials and Diversified track is an engaging 2–3-year experience designed to equip you with the foundational and transferable skills that will enable you to navigate a successful career in banking. Financials and Diversified associates will master PNC’s product set to excel in analytics, credit, relationship management, sales, and financial modeling. Working at PNC means being part of a collaborative, diverse and supportive team, who will be as dedicated to your development as they are to serving our clients. You will enter the program as part of a cohort giving you an immediate peer network dispersed throughout the bank and will spend the first few months in a classroom setting gaining knowledge on credit solutions and risk management. While in the development program, you will cover and support a specific region and will sit in one of PNC’s hub locations, which include: Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, New York, NY, and Pittsburgh, PA. Requirements

  • Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Math, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences).
  • Minimum GPA 3.2.
  • Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills.
  • Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an analyst/associate in the Commercial & Corporate Banking- Financials & Diversified track development program.
  • Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., deal, sales, or process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects).
  • Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).
  • Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.
  • Supports the internal and external customer experience by always providing excellent service; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.
