Sanford Health Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to advance the mission of Sanford Health by building relationships and securing philanthropic gifts that transform patient care in the Bismarck region. Carries out a variety of healthcare development opportunities. Key responsibilities in development administration, donor recognition, annual fund, major gift and special event coordination. Additional responsibilities include writing for donor communication, making personal contacts with and soliciting gifts from corporate donors and prospects, leading specific fundraising campaigns, and collaborating with support team. Has an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and implement development opportunities as well as self-initiating skills and desires. Possess strong written, verbal and listening communication skills. Must be a strong public speaker in front of groups and working with media. Knowledgeable of development strategies and skills pertinent to making personal solicitations. Well organized with the ability to work well with interruptions and stress. Possesses flexibility and adaptability skills, which help to accommodate changing situations and workloads. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects to completion and possess a strong sense of customer service.
