About The Position

Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Development Officer to join our College of Veterinary Medicine team! This position is vital in building lasting relationships and securing the resources needed to support Auburn Advancement and Auburn University's philanthropic mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations for Level I.
• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations for Level II.
• Valid Driver License in the state.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate prospects by discovering and building relationships with potential major giving prospects through research, initial contact ratings, peer reviews, and other resources.
• Engage with prospects to solicit major gifts through person-to-person visits, group presentations, and phone calls.
• Show gratitude for donations through personalized acknowledgements and keep donors informed and involved by attending events and maintaining regular contact.
• Impact a culture of giving for Auburn University, encouraging alumni and stakeholders to support the university's mission and vision.
• Update and inform supervisors and other staff of goal status, new plans, and project proposals.
• Develop campaign and presentation proposals related to funding priorities.
• Track and meet fundraising metrics, ensuring goals are achieved and reporting progress through Auburn Advancement.
