The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is seeking a Development Manager who will play a crucial role in fundraising and developing corporate and individual relationships within the CA, NV, OR, and WA markets. This position is primarily focused on the success of the region's special events, such as the Authors Luncheon and Kidney Walks. The Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to enhance portfolio engagement across various fundraising channels, including corporate partnerships, commercial co-ventures, special events, and individual giving. The successful candidate will manage and nurture a portfolio of corporate and individual relationships, working collaboratively with the team to drive growth and achieve NKF's mission and revenue goals. In this role, the Development Manager will be accountable for meeting significant revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and/or sales, along with strong relationship management skills. Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities will include supervising the planning, execution, budgeting, and evaluation of the Annual Authors Luncheon and other assigned events, including the Kidney Walks in Southern and Northern California. The Development Manager will also create and execute fundraising strategies to grow additional revenue for NKF, develop revenue projections, and provide financial analysis. The position requires overseeing stewardship activities to ensure a high-touch response to partners and donors, working with high-level volunteers to provide local leadership, resources, and partnerships, and driving donor-centric partnerships to support the financial goals of market events and programs. The Development Manager will also ensure compliance with NKF policies, including employment, risk management, event and cash handling, and financial controls, while demonstrating integrity, collaboration, and stewardship in all activities.
