The Development Manager at Seoyon E-Hwa Texas Inc. is responsible for developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes in the automotive parts sector. This role involves managing customer projects, leading a team, and ensuring high-quality product delivery while adhering to engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Establish and manage schedules for domestic/overseas customer projects
  • Oversee client meetings to obtain and implement customer engineering changes; manage the change schedule
  • Conduct customer development review meetings and plan and manage the long-term roadmap for the development department
  • Organize the procurement of material and establish production plans to respond to events (EC, QB, PILOT)
  • Establish goals, train team members, evaluate results and maintain all documents and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls
  • Research, design and develop manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production plans
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product Development to manage the launch of new or revised products
  • Align existing equipment specifications to manage the new or revised product launch
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
  • Designs, develops, tests, and/or sources tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
  • Participates in documenting all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
  • Participates in the development and improvement of Design and Process FMEA's (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • Monitors and communicates project progress updates throughout the lifecycle
  • Responds to customer inquiries on all project status
  • Lead meetings to review progress and provide solutions to mitigate risks
  • Manage the maintenance of injection molds and plan and implement customer engineering changes
  • BS Degree in Engineering/Electrical/Industrial Engineering required
  • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience required
  • 2+ years in a supervisory capacity
  • Familiarity with current automotive standards and regulations
  • Previous experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier preferred
  • Knowledge of problem analysis and resolution methodology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding and use of AutoCad
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
