About The Position

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking an Intern in our Development business unit. The Development Intern will work directly with the Philanthropy team to support the curation of donor related resources and materials. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to, writing projects, donor strategy, and event support. This internship will provide an opportunity to cross-collaborate with other resource teams and departments across the Foundation. This internship requires the ability to work Tuesday-Thursday from 10am-4pm either out of the Foundation's office in New York City or remotely.

Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hours/week
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills reflecting precise attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize initiatives accordingly
  • Creative, solutions-oriented with a proactive lens to problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Support curation of monthly donor emails.
  • Assist in the outreach and planning of 'Pints for a Purpose' Boston event.
  • Track donation and registration reports for 'Pints for a Purpose.'
  • Draft engaging and informative one-page documents for varying aspects of living with Parkinson's.
  • Conduct research on new resources available for people with Parkinson's disease including support groups, exercise classes, educational events, etc.
