About The Position

The Development Fellow for Annual Giving position will strategically manage a prospect list, handle a limited portfolio of donor prospects, and provide reporting to the Athletics Development team. They will ensure up-to-date prospect information is obtained, assign donors based on philanthropic requests, and personally engage in donor acquisition. This is a fixed term position beginning on/around August 3, 2026 and concluding July 31, 2027. This position is not eligible for sponsorship of non-immigrant or immigrant visa status through Wake Forest University. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to organize workflow, manage resources, and coordinate activities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all members of a diverse community to manage a variety oftasks and projects with follow through and completion in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively engage potential donors, building rapport and identifying their philanthropic interests through outbound & inbound phone calls.
  • Manage a limited portfolio of donor prospects.
  • Achieve a delivery goal of 25, $50,000 proposals for the fiscal year; develop proposals tailored toindividual donor interests.
  • Prospect event lists and games; share assigned prospects with appropriate calling officers andconnect with unassigned prospects.
  • Manage monthly new donor assignments to ensure all donors have an individual callingrepresentative.
  • Perform weekly leadership giving reporting and distribution.
  • Assist with donor events & game day hospitality as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
