About The Position

The Senior Hardware Engineer is responsible for developing next‑generation electrical hardware for advanced semiconductor flow control products and related test fixtures. This role owns hardware design across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and schematic capture through high‑volume manufacturing readiness. The position works across multiple engineering and operations teams to deliver reliable, production‑ready designs. Success in this role requires technical depth, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a changing development environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technical requirements and shifting project timelines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in hardware design and development, preferably in semiconductor equipment or industrial automation.
  • Expert‑level proficiency with Altium Designer (or similar EDA tools) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Strong experience designing embedded systems in mixed‑signal (analog/digital) environments.
  • In‑depth knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, including SMT and electrical test methodologies.
  • Experience with engineering documentation, configuration management, and disciplined execution against project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate electrical hardware systems, including custom printed circuit boards utilizing microcontrollers, mixed‑signal analog circuits (op‑amps, ADCs, DACs), and low‑voltage DC power conversion.
  • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer, ensuring compliance with signal integrity best practices and applicable industry standards.
  • Implement, integrate, and debug digital communication interfaces such as USB, UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and RS‑485.
  • Lead hardware development through the full product lifecycle, transitioning designs from prototype to high‑volume manufacturing (HVM) using PLM tools for revision control and documentation.
  • Apply Design‑for‑Manufacturability (DFM) and Design‑for‑Test (DFT) principles, leveraging deep knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, firmware, systems, and software teams to define hardware requirements and ensure hardware/software compatibility.
  • Partner with supply chain and quality teams to support component selection, resolve production issues, and review First Article Inspection (FAI) data.
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for released products, including root‑cause analysis of hardware failures using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools, and implement corrective actions and lessons learned.
