The Development Engineer's primary function is to provide custom software and hardware solutions for our internal customers in the Mobius Value Stream. This role is crucial in automating processes using macros and stand-alone applications, aimed at reducing human labor, automating mundane tasks, speeding up laborious tasks, and facilitating data collection and organization. The position will involve a variety of tasks related to custom software applications, ensuring that the solutions provided are efficient and tailored to the needs of the users. In this role, you will collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications. You will be responsible for designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems, producing efficient and elegant code based on the requirements gathered. Testing and deploying programs and applications will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software. You will compile and assess user feedback to enhance software performance and observe user interactions to recommend improvements to existing software products. Additionally, developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects will be part of your duties, ensuring that knowledge is shared and accessible for ongoing and future projects.
