VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.
This job requires technical experiences related to building cutting-edge product and Development experiences. This position needs to have comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on developing a project and deeply involving technical requirements in the development as well as issue resolving. Customer & Tier companies communication and development management to ensure strength and innovation in the LG automotive business. This role is directly influencing the integration project development across all LG and automotive manufactures and requires a confidant with identifying problems, communicating the concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver the best development quality within the time frame with build trust while demonstrating excellent features implementation and problem resolving skills. This role must play nice with others, have a humble service mindset, and be a results-driven self-motivator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of:
• Automotive materials or service new technologies to industry players
• Software development skills (CS design process including C, C++, QNX, Linux, Cinemo, XML, HMI, CAN network, embedded system)
• Hardware development skills (EE design process including schematic design, board layout, circuit analysis)
• Working across multiple disciplines (SiriusXM, Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, WiFi, Audio sound control, RF, OTA, VIF, CPU&Micom, Network, Hardware, testing)
• Appropriate office software applications
• Passion for technology and problem solving
• Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
• Ability to travel: Up to 15% (domestic and international)

Nice To Haves

• Vehicle Infotainment & Telematics features and Vehicle interface technology products
• Experience with complex systems
• IATF 16949 certification & APQP&FMEA certification experience

Responsibilities

• Support resolution of technical issues across software and hardware domains
• Identify and manage feature‑related issues, prepare and publish weekly status reports
• Communicate software and hardware issues with customers and support issue‑handling activities
• Provide support to senior engineers and cross‑functional teams, including R&D, Validation, and related groups
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with LGE HQ cross‑functional teams
• Perform issue analysis and provide development support; serve as a primary customer contact for issue‑related communication
• Review analysis‑related decisions with the Software/Hardware Senior Engineer as needed (e.g., analysis results, FMEA, quality impact)
• Follow customer acceptance processes in alignment with LG internal development procedures
• Apply accumulated experience and growing knowledge to support long‑term VS business expansion with automotive manufacturers
• Conduct feature testing in both vehicle and bench environments
• Analyze software and hardware issues and drive timely resolution activities
• Deliver reporting on a weekly or daily basis, depending on project needs
• Ensure compliance with LG and OEM development processes, standards, and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with domestic, regional, and global teams (e.g., U.S., Korea, Vietnam, China, South America, EU) as required by program scope
• Apply accumulated experience and knowledge to support the long‑term growth of VS business with automotive OEMs
• Perform other duties as assigned.
