  • Prepare and submit grant applications to generate funds for the organization.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of special fundraising events.
  • Identify and develop corporate, community, and individual prospects for fundraising priorities.
  • Oversee the administration of a donor database.
  • Ensure all donors receive timely acknowledgments.
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified fund development staff.
  • Engage volunteers for special fund development projects.
  • Develop and gain approval for an annual income and expenditure budget for the fund development program.
  • Prepare regular reports on progress, budgets, receipts, and expenditures related to fundraising activities.
  • Monitor expenses and analyze budget reports on fund development.
  • Foster an understanding of philanthropy within the organization.
  • Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors.
  • Coordinate the design, printing, and distribution of marketing materials for development efforts.
  • Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and fundraising goals.
  • Associates degree or higher in Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working within a nonprofit setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and grant writing skills.
  • Proficient in computer use and filing.
  • Valid Montana Driver's License and proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • Knowledge of fundraising management and ethical fundraising practices.
  • Experience with fundraising software and databases.
  • Experience in special events planning and management.
