The Development Director at Loveland Habitat For Humanity is responsible for overseeing fundraising activities, promoting the organization, and cultivating donor relationships to support affordable housing initiatives.   • Manage activities related to fundraising analysis, planning, execution, control, and evaluation.
  • Promote knowledge and awareness of Loveland Habitat For Humanity (LHFH) and cultivate donor relationships.
  • Work with the Executive Director, Finance Director, and Fundraising Committee on fundraising programs and public relations activities.
  • Make public appearances and accept speaking engagements to promote LHFH.
  • Write and strategize online content production and scheduling.
  • Assist in crisis management and negative news communications.
  • Create and distribute marketing materials for LHFH.
  • Establish and maintain strong community networks for fundraising.
  • Manage all donor, corporate, and fundraising events.
  • Direct signature fundraising events such as Women Build and Builder's Ball.
  • Oversee event analysis and lead discussions for modifications as needed.
  • Generate and recruit new individual, faith, and corporate donors.
  • Cultivate volunteers into donors in partnership with the Volunteer & Communications Coordinator.
  • Communicate with and appreciate existing individual donors to increase giving.
  • Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and fundraising drives.
  • Prepare gift acknowledgment letters and thank you notes.
  • Lead the development of long-term strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Identify new potential income streams and develop strategies to access these funds.
  • Grow a major gifts program and/or planned giving initiatives.
  • Produce cost-effective budgets and schedules for action plans.
  • Enter donor data accurately into Donor Perfect software and conduct quarterly database maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Development required.
  • Nonprofit work experience preferred.
  • Firm understanding of effective fundraising techniques.
  • Expertise in managing development functions of a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong leadership, management, and motivational skills.
  • Proficient in Office suite programs and marketing software.
  • Experience in digital marketing and fundraising strategies.
  • Knowledge of database administration and donor management software.
