In this position, you will work to expand the success of the Heart Walk campaign across the Tulsa market. As a member of the Tulsa team, you will focus on new business development through corporate sponsorship and driving participant income. This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule in a fast-paced environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers. Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development through sponsorship and corporate fundraising.
  • Develop relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and key corporate/community leaders to optimally drive participation in Heart Challenge events.
  • Lead peer-to-peer fundraising in participating Heart Challenge companies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Work with other directors in the market to grow revenue through the Cor Vitae Society (major giving program) by cultivating, stewarding, and renewing major gift donations of $5,000 to $50,000.
  • Be responsible for the identification, cultivation and recruitment of C-suite and executive volunteer leaders.
  • Maintain an ongoing pipeline of potential sponsors, donors, and volunteer leaders to advance our mission.
  • Develop and implement a plan of revenue growth through key fundraising events, strategic market partnerships and philanthropic donors.
  • Perform donor/fundraiser data entry and generate donor/fundraising reports (Luminate, Dynamics).
  • Supervise participant fundraising trends and implement proven strategies to increase revenue for all Heart Challenge events within the territory.
  • Proactively provide event support for priority revenue generation.
  • Organize and create American Heart Association account team contacts, sponsorship contacts, proposals, letters of agreement, sponsorship payments, presentations and benefits delivered.
  • Ensure successful collaboration and implementation of National Heart Challenge strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience.
  • Ability to travel locally approximately 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.
  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • University/College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-suite level.
  • Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
  • Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management.
