About The Position

Context: The Partnership Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a coalition of environmental organizations focused on supporting the collaborative efforts of the environmental community. Our programs focus on critical environmental issues, including climate change, emissions reduction, and environmental and climate justice. We provide fiscal sponsorship to our programs, empowering them to undertake the vital work of preserving our planet. The Clean Vehicles Campaign (CVC) is an unbranded coalition of more than 60 groups from various areas dedicated to advancing policies to reduce pollution from cars, trucks, buses, and other vehicles. The Campaign works to leverage existing infrastructure, resources, and assets and collaborates with allied coalitions. In the next year, the Campaign seeks to accelerate the drive to a zero-emission future in the transportation sector with a robust U.S. manufacturing sector, strong vehicle standards, and equitable resource deployment. Scope: The Development Coordinator reports to the Director of the Clean Vehicles Campaign and supports the Campaign’s mission and maintains strong working relationships with coalition members, funders, allies, the campaign’s fiscal sponsor, and other key stakeholders. The Development Coordinator is responsible for developing grants, contracts, and strategy, producing reports and other funder-facing materials, and managing program-wide grant calendars.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in: Nonprofit development or fundraising, Advancement or donor relations, or Development operations or fundraising administration
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently

  • Grant tracking or proposal support experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent writing and editing skills, and persuasive communication skills, especially with regard to donor inquiries
  • Passion for spreadsheets
  • Strong project management and planning skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • An eagerness to support CVC in achieving revenue goals and executing fundraising efforts
  • Proficiency at handling multiple priorities, working efficiently and collaboratively, and taking initiative

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support fundraising initiatives
  • Manage donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgements, reports, and renewals
  • Support major gifts and grants through tracking, documentation, and reporting
  • Conduct prospect research and maintain donor pipelines
  • Maintain accurate donor records
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with best practices
  • Draft dynamic and high-quality writing for grant applications and other funder communications
  • Creating an end of year report and other funder tools for donor engagement
  • Communicate directly with donors, vendors, and partners as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CVC and its fiscal sponsor, Partnership Project
  • Coordinate sub-granting processes for partner organizations in alignment with funder requirements
  • Track sub-grant agreements, deliverables, and reporting deadlines
  • Serve as a point of contact for partner organizations regarding documentation and compliance
  • Review partner reports for completeness and alignment with grant objectives
  • Maintain organized records related to sub-grant awards, payments, and reporting
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and other coalition partner meetings
  • Contributing towards a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records in databases and tracking systems, updated in a timely manner, for effective information sharing in our hybrid culture
  • Special projects, including, but not limited to, helping manage coalition retreats and events, when applicable

  • The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000.
