About The Position
The Development & Communications Director at EVOLVE Adoption & Family Services is a pivotal leadership role that connects the agency's programs and services with the broader community. This position is responsible for spearheading fundraising initiatives, nurturing donor relationships, and developing marketing strategies that effectively communicate the agency's mission. The ideal candidate will thrive on building connections, sharing impactful stories, and engaging with diverse stakeholders to promote the agency's work. The Development & Communications Director will lead efforts to cultivate philanthropic relationships with individuals, foundations, and businesses, ensuring that our fundraising goals are met. This role requires a strategic thinker who can craft compelling messaging that resonates with potential donors and stakeholders. The Director will collaborate closely with the Board and other agency leaders to execute development strategies and ensure compliance with reporting and accreditation requirements. Additionally, the position involves overseeing the agency's online presence and marketing initiatives, as well as providing leadership to the Marketing Specialist and other team members. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about social justice, has a strong understanding of nonprofit finance, and is familiar with the principles of Community Centric Fundraising. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity and equity.
